“For me, it’s the interrelationships between people and place that remains so important to the work we do at RobertsDay. It is also where my passion for planning lies. I love hearing people’s life stories…particularly stories from the so-called ‘ordinary’ folk that more often than not are revealed to be quite ‘extraordinary’. Meeting everyday people, finding out what they love about a place, what makes it meaningful to them, and how it shapes their life experiences is priceless.”

Janine has 20 years professional planning experience in private practice and the public sector that has provided her with wide-ranging expertise in statutory planning, negotiation, design, stakeholder engagement and place-making.

Her experience includes the project management and implementation of a wide range of development projects of varying  scale and complexity, from new masterplanned communities and regional strategies to urban revitalisation and town centres.

Recent project experience includes being Project Manager of Jindee, a progressive coastal community implemented through a form based code, preparation of Western Australia’s first Improvement Scheme for the Stirling City Centre, and the Ellenbrook Town Centre Development Plan, a successful main street centre on Perth’s Urban Fringe.
