Perth Girls’ School

East Perth WA

RobertsDay is a key partner in the temporary activation, adaptive re-use, repositioning and long-term redevelopment of the former East Perth Girls’ School.

Upfront place research, city context analysis and global case studies of creative quarters has informed a vision to create a new civic landmark, destination and regenerative precinct in the centre of East Perth.

To support the long-term redevelopment of the site, RobertsDay coordinated EOI campaign to attract suitable creative uses to activate the site. This process secured the involvement of Artrage and other cultural groups, enabling major events and activities (including the Girls School Cinema, Fringe festival activities, and co-working uses) to transform a once abandoned building into a valued cultural hub.

Design guidelines are currently being prepared for the site’s ultimate redevelopment as an active mixed-use destination and will enable the precinct to become a benchmark for future city living.
